Parking & Accessibility
Just a short distance from Liberty Island lies Ellis Island, which served as the nationโs busiest immigrant inspection station from 1892 to 1954. Over 12 million immigrants passed through its halls, each carrying dreams of a new life in America.ย ย
Today, the Ellis Island National Museum of Immigration preserves their stories through exhibits and artifacts, allowing visitors to explore the personal journeys that helped shape the nationโs diverse identity. Together, the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island form a powerful narrative of hope, struggle, and the pursuit of the American dream.ย
